Ron Green
For those of you restoring a Amphicar for AACA meets / judging:I just spoke with the VP of class judging, Joe Vicini. Joe says the paperwork I submitted a few weeks ago will be approved in time for Hershey to switch from class 27G to 35B (limited production). I might add that this was a seamless and non painful process, much easier and quicker then what I could have ever imagined. In amphibious terms "two fins up for the AACA". Steve Moskowitz
Ron, not quite. Joe is traveling and asked me to respond. The application has to be approved by the Class Judging Committee who will be meeting in October. Joe will submit the reccomendation but it still has to be voted upon to make it official. Ron Green
Steve,Sorry for the confusion and jumping the gun. I was led to believe that for Hershey I could register in class 35B. If that isn't the case I will bring a different vehicle, and novaman that too has a plug.
Ron Green
I assume I will now need to write a letter ( snail mail ) to Joe V to see if this has been voted and approved since email doesn't seem to work, or does it now wait another 4 months until the February meeting in Philly? ted sweet
based on where i saw your car parked i assume you where in 27g?
Ron Green
Ted, you assumed correct. Nothing wrong with 27g however 35b is more applicable for this vehicle. Next time stop and say hello as I am usually there at least 50% of the time when not out BS'ing and gaulking.

Ron Green
Does anyone know if this has been approved by the Class Judging Committee (Amphicar in 35b) at the meeting in October?
novaman
I don't know if they pulled <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="color: #FF99FF">the plug </span></span>on it. I know if they did, you'd get a <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="color: #FF99FF">sinking</span></span> feeling...
