Hi Folks.

Well, the wife has demanded a new car. She loves her Regal, but after six years I think she just wants a change. So we are close to making a buy.

I realize that this isn't an antique/collector/whatever Buick, but I figured I would post here since there are a lot of Buick nuts who might be interested.

The car is a black/grey two tone 1999 Regal GS with 123,000 miles. We have loved this car and it runs great. It looks great too. One of the dealers we were at thought ir was a 2003 or so until we told him otherwise. Grey leather interior, heated seats, Concert Sound II (I think that's the mid-level audio), in-dash CD, moonroof, supercharged 3800.

With my wife's somewhat heavy foot, she gets about 21mpg around town and 25 highway, according to the computer. The only problem with the car is the A/C, which stopped working about a week ago, but is scheduled to be fixed next week- so unless it is some kind of $1200 problem, it will be fixed.

Cosmetically, I would call the car an 8-8.5/10. The cosmetic flaws that I know of are as follows:

1. a ~2" scratch on the trunk (primer intact) from when someone closed the garage door on the poor girl because that someone didn't pull in all the way wink.gif

2. a ~2" scratch (primer intact) on the pass door when some sort of debris flew up off the highway a hit the car.

3. There is some flaky clearcoat on the front bumper only- the front bumper was resprayed after a minor scraping incident with a snowbank.

4. There is the outline of a Honda Accord license plate bracket on the rear bumper- I had to stop short in city traffic when a jogger decided to cross the road without looking, and the Accord wasn't going more than 5-7mph, and embossed my bumper.

That's it- despite those things, it really is a nice looking car. I'm really not sure of its value, but because I respect this forum, I will tell you that I plan to put it up for $3500 and I will settle for $3000- thus the forum price is $3000 firm. Edmunds says between $2500(trade) and $4500 (dealer retail).

I'm at work, so I will try to get some photos this weekend.

Thanks

Dave
