Dave Mitchell
Wanted 1948 Packard convertible, prefer restored car, but will consider others, any series. Looking for a friend who lost his in a accident & fire a week after taking delivery of a freshly done car. Also if you have an idea of what one is worth, it could help with his insurance claim. Agreed value coverage is a really good idea. Dave Mitchell packard12s@hotmail.com

Dave Mitchell
Thanks for the heads up. We will check it out. This is a bad situation. Insurance claims are never easy, but with an old car, even with very large auto insurer (not one geared toward the hobby, but trying to break into that market) a total loss is tough for them to value.Sometimes you wonder about cars that are on eBay more than once in a very short time - and seem to have sold each time... Dave Mitchell
Thanks 49, I will take a look when the new one comes. I saw the photos of the burned hulk today, and probably only the drivetrain is ok. It is in Colorado if anyone is interested in buying the salvage. She can be found by contacting Stewart Blond who is the editor of the Packard Quarterly.

packard lover
I have a 1948 Super 8 Packard convertible which I bought many years ago to restore. It is solid. As far as I know,it is complete. I will never get to it. I have been thinking of selling it instead of looking at it in my warehouse. If anyone is interested, you may contact me at abelove@quadlink.net
