tnuke
55 Buick Special 4 door, 264 engine. Anyone have good luck with any particular electric fuel pump, I think this is the last thing between me and a running classic piece of tin! Rather than shooting off the hip, I thought I would see what others have had success with.
old-tank
A good rebuilt original pump will serve you well for years. I have an electric pump on one of mine in addition to the stock just to fill the carburetor after extended inactivity, and also to treat cases of vapor lock. This is a high pressure pump and is not suitable for constant use. If you use an electric pump mount it as close to the tank as possible and be sure it is regulated at 4-6 psi.Willie
tnuke
Thanks for the info. I made the decision in the meantime to rebuild the original. I am ordering the kit next week!
