Can you give some details on the restoration? Maybe the history? You're going over book value so I am guessing there may be something unique about the car. Looks great!

Our asking price is well below what this car appraised for. My grandfather bought it in OHIO off a car dealer / collector. I believe they had purchased it out of California. It had been in a private collection / museum, but the man who owned it had died. The restoration was done before my grandefather bought the car. It is in excellent shape all around. He had it almost six years and it was always kept in a controlled invironment. I have more pics upon request.

The price isn't out of line with the current market. There really isn't a reliable "book value" on most of these cars, since there's usually on a dozen or two in existence.

The price of brass era cars, particularly 1913 and earlier, have really taken off in the past 8 or 9 years. The main driver appears to be interest from Europe. The devalued dollar makes these cars cheaper for the foreign buyer. I was in the market for a car just like this during the winter. I missed 2 cars because I didn’t move fast enough. One of those cars went to Europe. When I bought my 1912 Maxwell Special in February, my main competition was a European buyer.

I didnt mean to imply that the car was grossly overpriced. I thought maybe it had some promenance. It looks like a wonderful job as well.
