Pontiac59
Friend has a '68 LeSabre ragtop. A complete car, it has some damage from a roof collapse last spring, but the car runs and isn't that badly rusted (needs some floors in the rear), just old and tired in need of restoration or a good parts car. It's also odd because it has a 340 rather than a 350 motor. Has power windows, 4bbl carb, some other goodies. Located upstate NY.$750 is what he wants for it, or he's going to fill it full of other scrap and to the junkyard and get at least $500 for it. These things are getting scarcer and scarcer to find even used parts for; I hate to see it go to China.PM me for his contact info and I can email a couple pictures of it. Guest Reatta1
That is odd to have a 340 in a 68. I was under the impression they were only used in 65 & 66. I like the 340 better than the 350. My 66 LeSabre Convertible has that engine and it's been a very good and powerful drive train linked up to the 400 transmission. I've wasted Corvettes with mine. would hate to see it go the the crusher but is way to far away for me.

Pontiac59
Well, it's gone, he took it in during the week and got about $500 for it.When it's buy or scrap, you can't play around wanting to see pictures and stuff, you have to throw money at it.
