Classic Fabrication, 63-65 repro floor pans, your opinion

Fellow ROA members,

I'm about to buy four of the repro floor pan pieces from Classic Fabrication which on the net shows it being in Surfside, SC. Apparently the son of the owner has taken over some of this business and his business is called Extreme Metal Works, Wilmington, MA. I've never dealt with either of these organizations and am asking for your input and experiences with them. Are the parts as you expected, i.e., quality? Were they upfront and fair to deal with? Were shipments packed well, etc., etc. Any experiences you've had is certainly appreciated before I mail off the money. These are for my '65 Riv. Thanks much! Steve #1023

About three years ago, I purchased floors from Classic Fabrication and had no particular problem. The hard part was find a shop who was willing to install them. Once I found someone, they cost a fortune. The only difficulty the installer had was fabricating replacements for the braces that were rusty. Another excuse to up the price. If there was a problem with the quality or the fit, I'm sure I would have heard about it. And paid for it. Overall, I was pleased with Classic.

The floor pan that i received from Classic Fabrication was hand made not stamped from original dies (if thats an issue )the pan was a thicker gauge than stock , the price was reasonable .These are not a drop in patch and will require some fitting. Hope this helps
