1964 riviera decal placement help

I am restoring the engine compartment on a 64 riviera and need some help in the locations of the decals. also any details on the engine painting procedure used at the time. It seems as some of the brackets are painted engine color instead of black. Is that correct??

Most of what I've come across as far as engine color v. black for paint scheme can be summed up by keeping this in mind. Was the bracket added to the engine after the test run, or was it part of the engine during the test run. If mounting a bracket involved breaking loose a torqued head bolt or something similar, chances are pretty good that that bracket was installed before the test run and therefore would be painted the engine color. If the bracket could be added later without cracking a bolt loose, then the bracket was probably black. The best thing to do is look at as many pictures as you can lay your hands on and study them.
