Guest
How should I replace my window regulator? I've been told that the part is discontinued. I'm guessing the Reatta uses a scissor type?
If I had the part, how hard/expensive is it for a machine/metal shop to either repair it or make one?
Eventually parts cars run out. sahein
It wasn't that difficult to change. The hardest part was finding a rivet gun that would work with the oem rivets.
Jim
I have 14 Reatta parts cars and have motor/regulators available for both doors. The are pretty easy to change by drilling out the factory rivets and replacing them with 1/4 inch bolts where the motor/regulator is attached to the door. I can be reached at jfinn@computerpro.com
padgett
Have replaced several pw motors in my cars with bolt/nut. Hardest part is knocking the center out of the factory rivets.
