Seat Belts and 1934 Pontiac

Recommended Posts

I have the rear belt anchor points figured out easily.

I've got a real puzzle how to put seat belts in the front.

The seat is a unit of metal and some wood very close to the floor. I hate to cut the seat back and the carpeted back of the seat for a belt passage, and since its metal I'd need to protect the belt from rubbing on the edges with a gromet of some kind.

Really would like some ideas

I wouldn't put the belt in the metal seat back, that's around 18 gauge maybe 16, if anything get a square tube and place it between the seet back and bottom, bolt in place and run your belts from there. Of course, If I'm not mistaken we don't need belts in our cars, just don't crash wink.gif
