John White
I am doing the brake test and have found the level to be above the line after test 2. I assume that at this point I need to remove fluid to the line before proceeding with the test. Is this right? Thanks for the help. John

Ronnie
Yes, After you turn the key off and pump the brake pedal until it is hard.
John White
Just found another problem. There was fluid around the top of the reservoir so I looked under the car and there was quite a bit of fluid on the floor so I think its time for a trip to the dealer. jonlabree
Look at the system and see if you can find the leak.If you know whats wrong the dealer will not be able to rip you off.
Guest tomt
John:It's a good idea to include your state of residence in your profile. In dealing with brake issues, knowing if you are close to one of us is a plus.
Jim
If it is less than 1/8 inch above the line after you have pumped the pedal at least 25 times I wouldn't worry about it. If it is more than that I would siphon out a little.I have good used pressure switches and pump/motors available but now days there is almost no such thing as a good used accumulator. When doing the tests if your red light comes on in less than 3 or less pumps you should get a new accumulator as your pump is running more often than it was designed to and will wear out faster.
