Guest wally888
The 91 coupe I sold my daughter has developed a leak when thermostat relieves, on the top right side (when facing engine) under a mount. I can't see the leak blocked by the mount but wondering if it can be sealed or............?

Barney Eaton
You will need to pull the thermostat fitting and inspect the parts. I believe in '91 the thermostat only used an "O" ring, which sat on top of the thermostat and sealed everything.Check and clean everything. Put the thermostat in the hole and then the "O" ring, you might want to clean the threads on the stud when you have it apart. When you install the top housing with the hose attached, use something like a screwdriver to hold down the back side as you install the nut. One problem many people have is getting the housing "cocked" and the "O" ring does not seal all the way around.
