1929 oakland price guide

hi,will be taking a goose chase on a 29 oakland 2 door sedan,garaged,all there including horn,tools,jack,more. owner claims some front fender damage,no rust.headliner starting to droop,interior complete.6 cyl motor turns over,but he has not started the old girl.sounds like worth a 3 hour drive.my question: what is the value of these cars, on a scale of 1-6??? thanx {asking price=$2500.00]

Don't know the book value, but sounds like a fair price given how complete it is. There is a very active Oakland owners chapter of POCI that you might want to hook up with. They'll be a lot of help with the restoration.

Joseph - I've been really sliced and diced, so only just saw your post. Not sure if this is too late, but I have found the Manheim Goldbook for Classic Cars (http://www.manheimgold.com/) to be helpful. Their prices seem to be in line. Others may well disagree, but take a look yourself.
