sosuzguy
Hum couldn't say right now without reading the service manual. The 82 Buick service manual would be a great help. I think there was one on ebay not too long ago, if your interested in it.

Reatta Man
1. Turn on the parking lights.2. With a volt-ohm meter, take readings across the leads at the light socket. If you can't get 12 VDC +/- across the positive and negative wires, try grounding one lead to a good metal ground. If you can get 12 VDC +/- by touching a lead to one of the wires and the other lead to a good ground, you definitely have a ground problem. 3. Determine which wire to the light socket is supposed to be the ground (probably the black wire). Try inserting a good ground wire into the back side of that portion of the socket. 4. BEFORE splicing a ground wire into the harness, turn the lights on and off with the temporary ground wire still attached. If they work as they should, you just need to splice a new ground wire into the harness.Good luck!JoeGood luck.
onebadazzsrt
How do you know if your car comes equipt with the opera lights. I'm wondering if the other owner replaced the light switch with the non opera because it's about 50.00 cheaper.
sosuzguy
Hello _______,To me Opera lights are the rear sear reading lights, you know like the ones in the Operas on the walls. Some call the outside electroluminescent lights opera lights. I believe those are coach lights. Which lights are you calling opera lights?
onebadazzsrt
OK I think I found the problem, the nut that holds the fuse panel harness to the body harness is missing the nut to keep it tight. Now all I have to do is find out what size the nut is.
