I purchased my 1989 silver Reatta with blue interior in August from a gentleman who is a member of AACA. The car was well-kept and in excellent mechanical condition. Since then, I have performed various mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic upgrades. I can go into further detail if anyone is interested.

Please take a look at the photos below, taken right after a thorough wash and wax.

The car looks very nice..... the wheels blend very well with the color and are not a radical change from the originals.

Send me the vin number so the car can be added to the database, blue interior with silver ext is not that common.

Yes, very nice. Are those blue pinstripes?

I do like the color matched moldings. If anyone should ever run across a set of them in maui blue............................ cool.gif

Thanks Barney, I'll send you a PM with the VIN number.

The wheels are off of a 2007 Dodge Caliber SXT. The wheel center had to be ground down about 1/16in to fit over the hub. The bolt pattern matched.

Yes, that's a blue pinstripe. The original blue stripe was faded. There were actually some sizable dings in the body moldings, so I wet-sanded, filled, treated with adhesion promoter, painted, and clear coated them. They came out ok. I also used the same procedure on other small sections of the car.

Great looking car!! And those are the first non-stock wheels I've seen that I actually like on a Reatta. Doesn't hurt that it's a silver car!!

I have a Silver '89 also but rarely see any Reattas at all aound the South Jersey/Philadelphia area except for an occasional red one. I must say that most appear to need a lot of work. Yours looks excellent! Good job and good luck with your ride.

The rear back-light/tail-light was pretty clouded. After wet sanding and polishing the lens, the Buick letters looked very pitted. I figured a touchup with silver paint just wouldn't look right, so I tried some red enamel. It's diferrent.

As far as the fire zone is concerned, the pictures where taken in a school parking lot, after hours.

Regards,

JR
