D-a-n-i-e-l
I can not enter diagnostic mode through the touch screan. The TCC is working but for some reason I can not access the diagnostic mode. Any one ever had this issue?
Barney Eaton
You show a touch screen so we are talking 1988 or 1989.With the ignition ONsimultaneously touch the OFF and WARM buttons on the climate screen........hold until you get a BEEPThe screen should then go to the first Service mode screen. Guest EDBS0
Mine would "get confused" from time to time.I just would keep trying every time I started it. It would resume working within a week and work fine for 8 or 9 months and then repeat the process.

Guest PTC Bob
Do the climate control buttons work for CC? Maybe the contacts are dirty!
Guest wally888
MY 91 had this problem since purchase in 2000! Seems was associated w/ a glitch (trip odometer would sometimes work { when working I could access diagnostics} but when not working would not start from Zero=would just stay at 00 and when car shut down/restarted would show miles driven before setting it to 00. Sometimes the trip odometer would stay at 00 while driving for just a couple of miles, then start working. At other times it took 20 or more miles for it to start ( Always started at .01 miles)and sometimes did not work for days/many miles.
D-a-n-i-e-l
OK I took out the CRT and cleaned all conections and everything else that I could clean. Put the CRT back in and it works great. I wish I would hae found something that was a bit more of a telltail sign, but at least it works. Thanks for the imput.
