ericw
I picked up 1964 Riviera today after having an engine blow this summer. It now has a 1966 401 in it. The heater was plugged up but thank God he got that cleared. I have heat and it rolls. There is a little lifter noise that we will work on if it doesn't clear up and will redo the brake cylinders but it made it the last 45 miles home. It will never be perfect but I intend to use it as a daily driver. Some day I hope to get a great one. This forum has been very helpful. Thanks,Eric
tim63riv
Eric,I am so happy for you and the Riviera! I would put some miles on the engine before I worried about the lifters ticking, they have been known to quiet down after driving. As for a great one, you already have that, just maybe not a perfect one! LOL!! First Gen cars are seeing an increase in value finally, but at the end of the day all that matters is if the car makes you smile. Like they say in the Cadillac, CTS commercial, "When you turn your car on, does it return the favor!?"Happy dRiving!Tim McCluskey
