packard 116
I am looking for a gas gauge for an antique automobile. I have included a picture and a link to a picture of the gauge I am looking for. This goes on a 1921 Packard but I am sure they ised them on other cars as well. I saw one on a Packard once and it was labeled "Triumph" and "Boston Auto Gage Co" Thanks for any help on this.Click on the blue link below to view ithttp://www.modeltforum.org/ttalk/ttalkpix/pic115721.jpg
karin_leggett
I was wondering if you have had any luck locating one of these guages? Yesterday while doing a reno in our basement we found a fuel guage made by Boston Auto Gage Co., it is a triumph "red head" model 65A. It looks simillar to the one in your diagram, although it has a bubble display, not flat like on a dashboard. I'm not sure if it was originally for a car or an oil tank, although the size of it would suggest a car. I have spent hours online this eve. trying to research it, yours is the only thing I could find mentioning this guage. It still works, although the rods have a bit of surface rust, and the cork on the floating rod is actual cork and a bit deteriorated. Can you let me know it you have any more info. on these please. If you are interested, I can send you a photo and specs.
