I have heard this topic discussed before and it confuses me. Many of my local club members insure their cars through J.C. Taylor and I have been told that their policies prohibit them from hiring out their cars and are only insured for club functions. Is this true? confused.gif" border="0
I don't know because I am a NY used car dealer and I just slap my dealer plate on any old car I wish to drive.
Are those hiring their cars out for weddings risking doing so uninsured or is there a legal loophole they don't know about? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks... wink.gif" border="0

Acording to the policy you can't "hire" out your car for profit. There is nothing that states you can't do it on the basis that a dotation be made to a non-profit organiztion or charity. wink.gif" border="0
[ 07-10-2001: Message edited by: novaman ]

I am getting married on Cape Cod (Wellfleet) in late August and am looking for anyone to drive us to and from the ceremony (about a 2 hour commitment) in a cool antique or classic car. I can pay up to $100 per hour.
Please contact me at zlurn@hotmail.com
Thanks.
