My mother has a garage stored 1978 Malibu Classic, she actually drove this car up to 5 years ago, since then it has been stored in a garage. Never wrecked, or dented. Blue with white top. All orginal, motor and body and interior.<P>Could anyone venture to help me establish a value for this autombile. <P>Oh yea, not sure of mileage, I can get this if important. confused.gif" border="0

What John has said is a very good way at looking at it. I will add though, that you may be surprised to learn as I did recently, that it may be worth more than the listed book value. That 1978 Malibu is very popular car with younger drivers. I just had a '78 Malibu given to me by a old friend that retired and I have several kids hounding me to sell it to them after I fix it up a bit. You may have a few dollars more there than you think. However, it will help if it has the 305 V-8 engine and not the V-6.<P>Rick
