Guest 1157eagle
I own a 1950 Buick Riviera Special 2dr HT (three holes), that I would like to Hot-Rod (SLED) with a more modern chassis and drivetrain (w/disc brakes Etc.). Anybody that has information as to what would fit the ticket without too much cutting, torching and modifying would be greatly appreciated. or would a FATMAN front clip be the only answer? MCHinson
Without trying to be too abrasive...You might want to check out the "About us" portion of the AACA Home page. Here is a small portion of what it says..."The aim of the AACA is the perpetuation of the pioneer days of automobiling by furthering the interest in and preserving of antique automobiles, and the promotion of sportsmanship and of good fellowship among all AACA members."There are websites where people talk about chassis swaps and such, but this is not that place. AACA is about "Preserving" antique automobiles.
michel88
I completely agree with MCHinson and like only original cars. However you could post this in Buick forum BCA-Perf/Mod Tech where you may find some who can advise you.
Bill Stoneberg
Hi All, I thought this was the General Discussion forum ...Check out the 70's series Sevilles. They make a pretty good match for the 50's Buicks.
Peter Gariepy
Bill,This is the AACA General forum so this is the wrong place to discuss hot rodding. Not that there is anything wrong with it, just that this is not the place for it. There are lots of hot rodding forums to get those answers.http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en-us&q=hot+rod+forum&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-
Pontiac59
No other frame is engineered to fit the '50 Buick body better than a '50 Buick frame. Particularly the early hardtop models.
