Domenico
I am looking for safe and working bumper jack for my 1953 Buick Special. Anyone know where I can find one? RSVP to dadducci@mesirowfinancial.com
Guest dabecker65@gmail.com
There was such a thing as a "safe" bumper jack? I remember jacking up the rear end of my '55 - with the rear coil springs it would be near the top of the jack before the tire would clear the ground - thing would sway like skyscraper - scary what we used to think was normal.Assume you need only for show... jscheib
I agree, I would not use a bumper jack, and carry a hydraulic rolling floor jack whereever I go with any old car.John
Guest brh
I agree with everyone else, yet to see a safe bumper jack, almost had a car go sideways changing a rear tire. I don't know if it fits the 50s but I have a tripod bumper jack that my grandfather bought. Its an aftermarket jack that will either work on a 65 (my current car) or a 56 which was the one before that. If you want to stick with a bumper jack I suggest you look for one of these. I have never seen one like this.
Bill Stoneberg
Maybe he needs it for judging ? I know I will ding a car if there is no jack in the trunk.
