MCHinson Posted October 9, 2007 Share Posted October 9, 2007 No matter what age of car you have, NC Law requires you to have whatever type of seatbelts that were original equipment in the car. If it originally had no seatbelts, none are required. If it originally had a lap belt, a lap belt is required. If it originally had a lap and shoulder belt, it requires a lap and shoulder belt.
