A deal has been consumated and we leave Thursday evening to complete it:

A nest of Packards which includes:

1 1956 Clipper Hot Rod(it has a carrib hood, and a 374 dual

4bbl carb setup and is altogether) it needs paint but the

body is solid and the engine turns over by hand.

1 1955 Patrician - this one is my partner in crimes car

1 1955 400 - also my partners pick of the litter

1 1955 Clipper, not sure what we will do with it but most

likely it will be sold to pay for other projects lined

up for this deal.

1 1956 400 disastermobile parts car. No one including me

would even consider restoring this car unless he/she was

conceived in it.

1 1947 coupe straight 8 standard tranny. too far gone to

restore. My paint and body guy wants to sub frame a

Pontiac 400 under and I am thinking of letting him do it

so he will paint the Hot Rod. Please guys no brickbats

thrown my way for that, none of you would try to restore

such a low level car.

Now for the parts:

1 4 BBL INTAKE FOR S-8, 1 DUAL QUAD INTAKE, 1 374 ENGINE REBLT, 1 374 ENGINE, 1 53 S-8 ENGINE, 1 40 S-8 ENGINE

1 complete 352 + TRANNY, SEVERAL W-SHLDS, SEVERAL R-WINDOWS,

10 DOORS, LOTS OF STAINLESS, RADIATORS, FENDERS, HOODS,

1 SET BXED TOOLS T/U, 1 TORSION BAR TOOL,1 TRUNK LID,

2 55/56 FRONT FENDERS, 3 HOODS(?), 3 BUMPERS,

1 DASH, 1 LOT TRIM 55-56, 1 POWER SEAT W/ MATCH

BACK SEAT 56 PAT, 1 POWER SEAT FOR 56 400 FRAME ONLY FABRIC BAD,5 CYLINDER HEADS W/ MANIFOLDS, 1 REAR AXLE ASSY

6 TORSION LEVEL MOTORS, 1 WINDSHIELD, 1 BACK GLASS

6 CONTROL ARMS W/SPINDLES AND DRUMS, 1 LOT MISC PARTS.

Once we have had a chance to inventory everything and set aside what we want to keep and what is up for grabs I will let everyone know. In the meantime you can let me know what might interest you and we can start there.

What is it you need and where are you.

A few things I have found opening boxes and such

and unloading the parts truck.

1 48-54 Parts and Accessories manual

1 46-50 Service manual

1 288 head

1 v-8 manifold that has been roto-routered out

to accept and modern type of 4 bbl carb.

1 complete steering column for a 56 ? and it has the

push button pod on it.

Will list more later as I uncover and open more boxes

I need a rocker molding strip (92+ inches) and a pair of bumper guards for my '41 Clipper. They would be the same as on your '47 if they will not be needed for the rod...Let me know if those parts are available. Thanks.

Way down the road, maybe. For now I am going to get it started and running and see how it performs. Right now the only 2 cars that are available is the 55 clipper 2 door and the 47-50 coupe. The 56 400 disastermobile will no doubt be parted. I started going thru the whole stash and came up with a lot of surprises. It's fun opening car trunks that has been long closed up, you find all manner of wonderous things.
