RivNut
Gentlemen;I recently purchased some engine paint for both my 63 and my 64 Rivieras; I bought them from Classic Buicks. I have part of a can of the silver used on the '63 Riv engine and it matched the original quite well in my mind, it too came from Classic Buicks. This time I received a can with the same part number on it, but the manufacturers label calls it "Bright Aluminum," and it doesn't look like it will match. It's from the same manufacturer, Aervo Paints, but it's a different color than the original. I contacted Aervo and they discontinued the first can I bought. The can of "Buick Green" I got for the '64 was a can of Ford Green. I've used Detroit Diesel Alpine green previously and thought it matched as good as anything. The supplier of the Ford green also has the Alpine Green so I'm wondering which is most authentic. I've found the Alpine green locally on previous occassions but not recently, that's why I ordered from Classic Buicks. My question is, before I use either of these and can't return them, have any of you used either of these two colors from Classic Buicks and what did you think of them as far as color matching to the OEM color? Please leave me your opinion. Should I send these back and see what Bill Hirsch has to offer? Thanks,Ed

Conroy
I have used the Buick Green POR engine paint. It gives awsome results. The finish is beautiful. It can be a little challenging to work with but the brush on paint can provide a sprayed on look. It is very glossy and durable. It took three coats for me, when I painted my engine and accessory parts. I would highly recommend it.
