Jonathan Miller
Hi folks.I'm looking for a king pin set for my 66. I've tried all the usual online sources and come up with nothing. Any ideas?

Guest De Soto Frank
Jonathan,If all else fails, you may be able to have a good machine-shop make a set of king-pins for you.I had to go this route with a 1955 Chevrolet Dump Truck (of all things); I needed oversize king-pins, and they were no longer made, and all old stock had seemingly been exhausted.A local machine shop took the old pins, measured them, then made new ones in the appropriate steel to a .020" oversize that I required, and once they were machined, put them through a surface-hardening process. They also made new bushings, installed them in my steering knuckles and reamed to size. So, if you can't find them ready-made, there's still hope !Good luck !
