GMPARTSMAN
How about a size? I MIGHT have one, a NOS but surface rusted.Found it many years ago at a dealership I worked at. No part number or box, it looked too big for my '55 Special.Private e-mail me back.Joe
1953mack
DISREGARD THE POST ABOVE. I PUNCHED THE WRONG BUTTON.What you're looking for is a 12"-diameter drum for a 2.25"-wide brake shoe, either Group #5.809 (rear) or #6.334 (front without the hub)...part #1326440. The Bible says some Oldsmobiles use this same drum. This is a common drum for BUICK and fits alot of years, front and/or rear: Front: 1940 thru 1949 (Series 40 & 50) 1940 thru 1942 (Series 60 & 70) 1946 thru 1951 (Series 70) 1951 (Model 59) 1952 & 1953 (Series 40 & 50) 1954 (Series 40, 50, 60, 100) Rear: 1940 thru 1951 (Series 40 & 50) 1940 thru 1942 (Series 60 & 70) 1946 thru 1951 (Series 70) 1952 (Model 59 & Series 70) 1953 (Series 50 & 70) 1954 (Series 50, 60, 70, 100)Hope this helps you out.Al Mack
WillBilly53
i think kanter might carry drums
old-tank
Yeah, Kanter may list the drums, but will not supply a picture, dimensions or specs. I have a used after-market drum that is standard, but it weighs half as much a stock Buick drum. How bad are your original drums?...they may be salvagable.Willie
Guest coaltownkid
my original drums are too thin!! I had a friend turn my drums for me then dropped off the rears and showed me how bad the fronts were, they just have no life left in them.....I'll check out kanter. thanks guys, i hope i can turn something up??!!
