canes1222
I have no idea what cars this carburetor might fit. I am polishing it, but I wanted to get the pictures on here to see if anyone can help me. It's a model "S" Schebler, 1 3/4 VERT, also has SV 240, SV 257, and SV 281 engraved on it
Layden B
Look closely around the mounting flange, does it have a stamped in SX number?
canes1222
Yes, it's SX391.
Layden B
My info goes up thru 1929 and this number is at the upper range of listings but there is no entry for it. Probably a 1930 number and I would guess a marine application due to the air duct fittings.
canes1222
Thanks for looking it up, I really appreciate your input. It looks so neat, I'm thinking of trying to someway make a lamp out of it. Was hoping it would be for a Duesenburg or Bugatti. I have an auto repair shop in Miami and a Cuban came by and said he noticed the antique cars in the shop and thought I might want it. Gave it to me for free.
