NHcarnut
Another trip to the barn, didn't have time to remove stuff piled on top. Any guesses based upon this part of valve cover that is visible?

earl e rizer
Pontiac 250 c.i. This was the 1st engine to use a rubberized cam drive belt by Gates. Anyone who is restoring a Pontiac Firebird Sprint might need it. See if it has a 4 bbl manifold.
Mike Cullen
I have a friend with a 67 firebird sprint with the OHC 6. if it's a 4 bbl intake, please PM me. (I've never heard of the 6 having a 4 bbl)
Dave@Moon
The Pontiac OHC 6 was made from 1966 to early 1970. It displaced 230 cubic inches for the first 2 years, 250 cubic inches thereafter, and was based on a Chevy 6 with the belt driven overhead cam. The 4 barrel Quadrajet carb was a factory option, and a compression ratio of 10.5:1 was available. The Quadrajet set-ups are highly sought after. Fully optioned the OHC 6 was capable of 215 HP.The first truly high perfomance American 6 since the Hudson Twin-H (although some performance add-ons were available for Mopar Slant-6s), it wasn't the most relaible engine on the market. Consumer Reports never ceased to reccommend against it. However in good tune it could surprise an unwary small-block, with decent economy and improved handling/weight bias as well.
