My C/C unit is irratic or won't set accurately. I have a replacement unit however have a question please....there are a number (6) of different settings on the units vacuum operating shaft. Should I hook it up in the same exact position as it is now and forget it or is every car diffferent and it is a replace and adjust type of exercise ?

Thanks,

Nic

Right now it in in the middle position of the low row of 3 hook up holes.

There is a small diameter vacuum hose (pencil size) from the manifold to the servo. I believe there is a split (as in "Y") in it. When I removed it and sucked through it with the end plugged it was obvious that the hose leaked through the diameter and length. It should be replaced if it is leaking. Does this help?
