tomwallace
A friend bought this leather picnic case probably from the 1920's or 30's. It measures 14 inches tall, 16 inches wide and 6 inches deep. No markings are seen on the leather case. The leather strap is missing.Inside are two capped thermal juggs with a glass lining, two large elongated sandwich tins, 6 swedish porcelin plates, six sets of spoons, knives and forks, and salt and pepper shakers. The bottom of the juggs have the following markings: THERMOS trade mark pat. nos. 13093 - MARCH- 15-10995985- JUNE-20-11 AMERICAN THERMOS BOTTLE CO. NEW YORKThe knives and forks have a stamped mark: S.L.&G.H.R. CO. The spoons have the mark: SIMECNI & GEORGE H. ROGERS COMPANY AT____Does anyone recognize this case? What vehicles would it be appropriate for? Am I guessing the correct time period for this case?Any info appreciated.
