New Harmonic Balancers on eBay

Has anyone purchased a new balancer from seller: carpartswholesale on eBay?

Are they of good quailty? Will they fit my 88 model?

I bought one last November or December. When my mechanic installed it, it rubbed

against what I think is the motor mount. We put the stock one and the new one

on the bench, the new one was either 1/8 or 1/4 wider than the stock one.

I bought this as a preventative maintainance measure. I didn't have any problem

in returning it to the seller on eBay.

Scratch the '90 Flame red convert with the burgundy interior.

I was afraid there might be a problem. I guess I will have to look elsewhere. I knew at such a good price there was bound to be a catch.

I don't know if you'd consider it a good deal, but I've bought them before from Advance for around $80 and haven't had any issues at all with them over like 20k miles (used when my engine was stock)

Since you have an '88 you do not have the mount problem that Jim had. The '88s do not have the small shock absorber in front of the harmonic balancer like the '89-91s. The one on Ebay should work on your car with no problems.
