  1. Looking for drivers door manual window regulator for my 1963 buick riviera. Does anyone know if there is a part that interchanges with a 63 riviera manual window regulator? Will a 65 regulator work?
  2. I am trying to tie down the years and brands this convertible rear window was used in. It is 27 3/8" wide and 7 1/2" tall. The outside finish is chrome and the inside is painted. The faces of the frame have a curved surface rather than a flat surface. I have am impression that is was used on Chevrolet convertibles possibly from 1940 1941 1942 1946 1947 1948 1949 and 1950, but I'm not sure. It may have been used on other GM products such as Pontiac, Cadillac, Buick, Oldsmobile or others.
  3. I am in need of a rear driver side interior window frame for my 1948 DeSoto Custom. For some reason, it does not match all of the other window frames. Ideas for where to look for a replacement will work as well if none are available through this forum's members. Thanks, Nic
  4. Various automotive parts for a 1948 Chrysler. Windows; Body Trim; Carpet; Box of Misc.Parts; Fender Skirts....more. Serious inquires only please.
  5. What is the best source for window replacement rubber etc? Price & quality. Would like to hear about your experience with the company. autonut Lee
  6. I am trying to install my nice new front windows and new trim but am a little lost as how best to attach the trim clips to the new trim pieces. I have attached photos that hopefully display the clip and trim sufficiently. The four little jagged tags need top puncture through the trim and then be bent over to secure it. I am thinking a very small drill piece would allow me to do this and keep the existing clips but wanted to check that there wasn't a far easier method using some other form of attachment. Any help appreciated. If nothing else hopefully this thread helps those trying to identify what clip is needed! The photos are pretty high res and can be clicked on to expand. Paul
  7. As part of replacing both front windows on my 55 4DR Roadmaster, each being cracked, I am replacing the window seal trim pieces. Thankfully the seller of the car included two brand new windows, custom cut... Upon removing the window on the driver's side I noted that the support channel is badly corroded. I am looking to replace it and suspect this is the best option... 1955 Buick Restoration Parts Window Sash Channel - Door - 10-045X This is the channel into which the window sits and is held seemingly just by some rubber. I also want to replace that rubber that sits inside that channel. It is difficult to see whether this is the correct product, has anyone else replaced this piece and am I on the right track with the link below? 1955 Buick Restoration Parts Window Sash Channel Filler - Rubber-Cork 1/32" Thick - 10-041X Many thanks, Paul PS: Just removing the interior door handles and window cranks to get the door panel off is probably the trickiest job I have performed on a car recently!

    Window Channel

I am trying to replace the metal U channel that the door window glass fits into. I have a 1937 2 door sedan. I have tried all the usual sources....Bernbaum, Robert's, Pro Antiques, Restoration Specialties, E-bay and google. I actually bought a set for a 4 door, which are much shorter. Does anyone have another source or something else that has been used. The existing channel is so far gone that it can not be repaired. Thanks Charlie
  9. HI to everyone! I am the proud new owner of a white / red 88 hardtop. My vehicle has 117,000 miles and is stock to the core. I have 2 pressing issues 1 of which will keep me from driving the car if not fixed, the other an annoyance. My major problem is that when the headlights are turned on, the rear won't display any lights at all UNLESS the brake is pushed or the blinker turned on.. can't drive at night legally until fixed. The other is that the passenger side window rolls a quarter of the way down and you hear rhythmic clicking, like the gear is just rotating on the actuator or something. It does the same when you roll it up all the way and continue to push the button... any ideas? Also, on a side note, the CRT is telling me that the cruise is "disabled", wondering what that is all about. Thanks so much for the time and help! Glad to be a Buick Owner, will be joining Reatta club if I can get this vehicle street worthy.. outside of these cpl things, the car is very very nice!

    1933 Front Door Window Seals

Has anybody had the front door window seals duplicated for the 1933 Packard sedans? This year's front windows were a one year only barn door style. My rubber has gotten very hard and cracked, I want to replace them as well as the rear quarter window seals. I have a company that can reproduce them for me but it will not be inexpensive. I was hoping someone may have or know someone that already has gone to the trouble of making these window seals. If not, would anyone be interested in buyer them if I went ahead and had them reproduced? Your input is greatly welcome. Bob Henry
