  17. Hi, I'm building a '32 Model 56 into a speedster for the Great Race 2012. I find I have to lower the steering column about 10 degrees. Rather than kill the mount on the perfectly good steering box I have, I thought I would ask if anyone has a box or the bit that connects the box to the frame and carries the Pittman shaft through the frame rail, that I might modify accordingly. IF so, please email me at jcorey@cficinc.com. Thanks! jc

  22. 1956 Dodge Coronet, "The Forward Look", 4 door sedan, original V-8 runs strong, dash mounted push button selector for the automatic transmission, light blue, with nice, clean, black and white interior, good brakes and tires. It is a very enjoyable daily driver car to enjoy. NEW: battery, carb rebuild, tuneup, valve cover gaskets, master cylinder, fuel pump, brakes, rear window gasket, front end alignment, alternator, front transmission seal, and more. This 1956 Dodge is a product of Virgil Exner's design team called "The Forward Look". When you see it, what strikes you, though it will take some time for you to figure it out, is the long, gentle, sweeping arc stretching uninterrupted from headlight brow to tail light tip. And those headlights, unlike the previous year's Dodge—and unlike those of Ford and Chevrolet—are hidden from the side by forward-canted hoods. The taillights are hooded with a complimentary rearward cant. It gives the new Dodge a sense of being in forward motion even while standing still. The doors open and close with a solid thunk, not a hollow metallic whap like today’s cars. The front grille is a handsome, massive affair, and it looks spectacular between those hooded headlights. Because of its handsome color combination and "flight sweep" styling, this car draws a crowd.Selling for less than amount invested, $6995. 336-765-8312, winston salem, North Carolina, email for pictures: wwhitfield@triad.rr.com thankyou, Jerry Whitfield

This car has been in the same family most of its life. This one of a kind automobile features, bucket seat, with center console, gauge package, driven less than 600 miles since complete frame off restoration 3 years ago. Car had about 84,000 miles at time of restoration. One family owned most of its life. Over 2,500 spent on engine dress up kit and upper intake and carb from Modern Chevrolet. Matching #'s chassis. $14,995. 336-765-8312, North Carolina. Email for pictures: wwhitfield@triad.rr.com
