I've done a lot of research on this part and I think I finally found out it belongs to a Sunbeam Rapier Fastback. Can anyone tell me if they agree? Everyone keeps saying it is for different types of Jaguars, but I have to disagree, It does look similar but not exactly like it. Does anyone know about these kinds of cars, what year this gas cap may be from or how much this part may sell for?
Offerred is a very nice all original 67 Sunbeam Alpine. There is no rust and the chrome is clean with no holes or wear. The glass is good with no chips or scratches. The paint is very nice and the body has no dents or dings. The owner who is a professional mechanic has personally maintained this car. According to the owner the engine runs very well, 4 speed transmission is quiet, clutch has a good grip and shifts smootly. The convertible boot cover is dry rotted but can be purchased new at Victoria British for under $129. The convertible top is tan in color and has one small tear though is otherwise very serviceable. The owner has lots of additional parts for the car which will be included. This Sunbeam has been shown at car shows and has won several awards over the years.
