  1. I was wondering if anyone knows how close a 52 Olds 88 trunk pan is to my 52 buick special trunk pan. Classic 2 current has this for 129 bucks, and appears to be very similar to my trunk pan. Or would i be better starting from scratch?
  2. Because of the AACA forum , this rusty Amphicar found me. Being the eternal optimist My mind thought this would be a great idea. Unfortunately My body sometimes disagrees. So I work till it hurts and take a break. Doing a really rough car is challenging. Being a challenge sometimes is actually fun. Plus I try to fabricate every sheet metal part. First pics of car arriving I had to fix hull and frame before I could put on rotisserie
  3. My 1964 project is getting started again. It was a pain to get but I wanted it. It wasn't in bad shape, complete and still ran, although it has an engine knock which is not a problem for me to fix. My problems are with some of the rust. The floors are not bad but I will replace at least 3 of the 4 major pitted areas. The trunk is good as is the gas tank. The windows all raise except for the rear driver side, it was held up with wood when I got the car. My major problems are with the leading edge of the front hood and the upper leading edge of the roof! and both of these are really just surface rust. I am hoping to just replace the hood and would like to cut out the roof portion instead of tedious sheet metal forming and welding. Not going to get rid of this one, it is my first Riviera but I have restored a few other types of cars. So any suggestions, hints, good griefs or leads to pieces. Thanks Russ
  4. Just too many cars and this Meteor deserves better than to be ignored. NO RUST!!!! Car was originally white but has a mediocre red paint job. Good looking 10 footer. New tires, later 289 heads with screw in studs installed, new fuel pump, and Pertronix ignition. I believe the previous owner had the engine rebuilt. No smoke or noises and it's super clean inside. The trans might have been done also as both have 'rebuilder' paint jobs. Trans shifts great, high firm brakes, and a strong battery and charging system. Minor stuff...leaking heater hose fitting at the intake, carb needs to be tanked and cleaned. Interior is presentable but it needs a carpet and the windshield sealed because it leaks. I've got some extra stainless, a complete power steering set up, beautiful 4 barrel intake, an extra 2 barrel carb and some new window and door whiskers. Reducing price to $2900. I may consider a full or partial trade...has to be arunning driving something of some value. I'm in the car business so I have an idea of what things are worth, just sayin'
