  1. Howdy folks! I've been searching around here and VCCA with no luck finding tips on this. I have the master cylinder out of the car, but I cannot figure out how to remove the shaft that the brake pedal pivots on. It's a manual, so the clutch pedal slipped off after pulling the lock ring with no troubles, but it looks like that shaft is held in by a small ~3/16" pin. Do I just need to PB blast it and hammer it out, or is it a screw of some kind? The top side is flush with the cylinder casting, but the bottom is recessed a bit and I can't tell if there's a slot or anything to unscrew it, even after cleaning. Thanks in advance!
  2. What is the easiest way to remove the two isolation mount bolts near the top of the engine. I cannot get a wrench or a socket on either bolt. There is not enough room to work. Should I take the engine and tranny out in one piece? Any suggestions?
  3. I thought I had posted this before but couldn't find it. Any ideas on how to remove the glass on a 1953 Clock? It's binded by the time setter shaft/mechanism. Or do I just need to take the whole clock apart?
  4. Hi. Following on from another thread re leaking rear screens, can anyone give a good step by step guide on how to take off the exterior stainless trim mouldings please? I've looked it up in the book but must be having another(!) off day, as I don't understand it and obviously I want to avoid damaging the trim. I can't find any threads giving details either. Do the mouldings just 'pop' off? The book seems to say to start in the middle of one of the runs. How do you actually get under it? Help!
  5. Hi all. I'm going to be doing some minor paintwork repairs which will entail removing some of the chrome trim eg the false vent trim. I'd really appreciate any tips on doing this with minimal risk of damage to the various trims. I've ordered new clips etc so no prob if they get damaged. Many thanks!
  6. Does anyone know how to remove the passenger side door handle on a 1924 DB business coupe? There are no screws on the outside, and from what I can see from the inside, the nut at the end of the shaft (if this is the case) is not accessible through the door panel. Quick help is needed because I see a door handle on eBay that I may be able to use.   7. I have recently purchased a 1985 Riviera convertible and the dash is digital and does not show anything, no fuel, no speedometer, nothing. It blows a fuse as soon as you turn the key on. I need to take the digital dash out so I can unplug it as part of my trouble shooting. How do I get it apart. I don't want to break anything. Thanks.
