1960s Icon. From our new found cache of old cars we have taken a Rambler that appears similar to one recently converted on the Fast and Loud TV show. Our car is a 1962 4 dr, 6 passenger, AMC-produced Classic Cross Country station wagon that was an icon of the early 60s. The car has a unibody design that was economical and stylish and very popular in its time. In 1962 AMC ranked third in sales after Ford and Chevrolet. Like Cadillac it had dual brake systems. The skin of our wagon is very good as are the glass, chrome, insignia, options. The car is rolling. The car can be picked up in D

Ive been seeing alot of old cars that have been junked for the money. A old car will normally bring 4-500 dollars scrapped out. The guys buying them will only offer 1-200 dollars fro them. This is a shame. Soon there will be no original parts available. I bought a old 1962 rambler ambassador thinking I might restore, I think it looks cool. And its in good shape. Ac, power windows, body in good shape, motor complete. Missing front and rear window. Now the wife is after me to get rid of it I know I will not have the time to fix up. Dont know if anyone is interested in parts you can contact me

I've already put this in the for sale section but, just in case it isn't checked by everyone, figured it is a good idea to put here as well: I recently bought a very decent 64 Rambler that came with a parts car that I'm slowly stripping. (http://forums.aaca.org/f119/parting-out-1964-rambler-classic-291509.html) There's no way my wife will let me hold on to the driver and this parts car so it is bound to be junked, unless someone wants the hulk. Until that happens, does anyone here need any parts off this thing? I'm in SW Connecticut. Rem whybcuz@yahoo.com

I have a very complete 1964 Rambler Classic parts car that I am taking parts off for my own use (hood, trunk lid, grill, some other odds and ends): Parts Car Rambler pictures - Photobucket As you can see in the above photobucket, the car is a typical New England rust bucket but has many perfectly usable parts - for instance: The engine is definitely seized but the bolts-ons look good. The interior is in rough shape but the dash looks good. Front fenders are fairly straight but have some rot holes in the top. They may be re-usable but would require some body work. Quarter panels are gone,

I just came into possesion of a 63 american 440 rambler. I'm have the hardest time trying to find a tranny filter as well as a slew of other normally replaced parts (i.e. oil filter, air filter, air filter housing) is there anywhere i can look for these things without having to pay ridiculous amounts of money ( ifound a site that had a replacement driver side mirror and wanted 90 bucks!).. Also I can't seem to find a service manual anywhere for it either.....so any help or tips on working on this car would be great!
