  2. This car has been sold. Unfortunately I don't see a way to delete the posting. http://youtu.be/y2lErLBvM3g This 22,000 mile original mile car has won six (6) national awards, 4 from the AACA & 2 from the BCA. The car is flawless and would probably show up the new cars if it were in a showroom. It's been stored in a climate controlled garage since new and was featured in a December, 2012 article in the Buick Bugle. There is nothing wrong with this car, not even a single leak. I'm selling it to thin the herd. This is an exceptional opportunity for the collector interested in the 70's. The photo with trophies below is 2 years old; there are now about 50 trophies and everyone is for 1st place, even when judged with other national winners. This car never got 2nd or 3rd place. $12,000. It's hardly ever driven yet runs like new because it's very well taken care of. /Carlo & Joanne 315-469-6515 carlobasta@yahoo.com

  9. 1931 Buick 8-57 23,850 Original Miles!!! Don’t miss out on your chance to buy this documented, collectors dream!!! I’m the forth owner of this Buick, I bought it from my uncle who bought it in 1969 from the second owner (both of whom are still alive and have supplied letters stating their ownership and details about the car) who had bought it in 1967 from the family of the original owner. This car is a true survivor car, un-restored and in excellent condition! The vinyl top is the original, the paint is original the only things that have ever been changed/fixed on the car are the hoses, the throttle control on the steering wheel was disabled for safety reasons, we also disabled the ignition switch and just put an on/off switch under the dash. We had to replace a small pivot lever on the carburetor which was custom made for the car, two panels on the interior were repaired with original material, the metal spoke wheels which were used in place of the wooden spokes on later 1931 models were blasted and painted after my uncle bought the car and at the time the original tires were still on the car so he had the tires replaced so currently the car has only its second set of tires ever on it and we still have the factory original tires which will go with the car!!! Missing in the pictures is the Buick logo headlight bar emblem, we do have it but it was broken and fixed but we haven’t put it back on. The only flaws that this car has is that the paint is getting a little thin in a couple areas, the chrome looks like its 82 years old but for being 82 years old its really in pretty good shape and there is one small rust spot near the left rear fender on the body but that’s it, all of the wood is intact and in excellent condition and the body by fisher stamp on the floor board shows great! This car runs and drives like a dream and it has been an absolute blast to own but now its time for someone else to get the chance to enjoy this beautiful piece of automotive history!!! If you have questions please feel free to contact me via email or at 319-360-6490~ Tom The Buick is also available on eBay if you would like to see more pictures. Buyer is responsible for shipping, car is sold as-is where is, I can assist in lining up a hauling company if necessary.

  13. I may have missed this on the Forum site, but is there a location for finding original cars for restoration reference? We have the HPOF and Originals classifications to encourage preservation of original cars, but there does not seem to be any way for these invaluable resources to be located other than a chance encounter at a show. The AACA Library does not have this information, either. I am trying to find out paint trim details (pinstripe and wheel treatment) for a recently acquired 1937 Pontiac 2619, and being able to see a few photos of an unrestored car with original trim would be a huge help.

  17. I recently acquired the original wood models for the casting of a 1904 Brennan motor, as well as other years. These were found in a basement on Long Island , the owner of which lived in Syracuse in the 1950’s and has had them in boxes ever since. Some in excellent condition others show some problems, all of them obviously used at the factory. These were used to do sand casting of parts. Included are original part molds for exhaust, cams, piston housings, fly wheels, etc. I also have a cast oil pan in new never used condition. I was wondering what to do with these items and if anybody would know, or have interest. There must be 200 parts, have not inventoried yet. Thank you for any help with this project.
