Happy MLK, The ventilation motor died in my '88 so I replaced it Saturday with an NOS Delco. Installation into that tight spot went well. However, upon moving the big wrapped wiring harness between the engine and the firewall out of the way, the thin plastic vacuum tubing for the HVAC system broke, and I cannot find the other end that I need to reconnect it to! The end from the splitter just aft of the check valve is visible, but where it broke off from is not, at least with my poor eyesight. I suspect like in my Camaros that this vacuum tubing is enclosed in the big wire harness for protectio

Hey All, I am in the process of rebuilding a 64 and would like to convert my heater/ac unit to heater only. I have the control unit from a heater only car but can't find a vacuum diagram. I am looking for something like what is on page 11-79 but for a heater only car. My 64 chassis manual doesn't seem to have the info. The car had a bad heater core so I had the center console out to replace that. Since I had the console out I figure I should remove the dash to fix the cracks which led to fixing the leak in the back window. Some how a wood trim kit ended up in the mix. The torn drivers s

We are restoring a 1940 Lincoln Zephyr Coupe, and none of the standard Lincoln heaters fit the existing holes in the firewall. I should know, I have bought 3 of 'em, thinking one would surely fit. We bought the car mid-restoration, and it came with PART of a heater that does line up with the holes in the firewall. I have included a photo of the partial heater... can anyone identify it? I need the rest of it. There must be some type of fan motor/blower assembly that affixes to the heater core part that I have. Apparently, this was a heater delete car, and somewhere along the line someone added

I need to get to the heater control cables, at the control lever end, but I'm not clear from the book of the best way to do this. It looks as if I could remove the dash top pad (four screws?) to get to them or do I have to remove the whole control lever assembly? One of the cables has come off it's lever (the temp one). I have peered in there and it looks like they are all missing the spring clip that should secure them on the posts. Many thanks. Dave

The Car spent all of its life in Texas until now so this feature was probably rarely used. There is no heat entering the passenger compartment, defrost pulls all the way out, but only blows cold air. The far right pull knob does not come out very far, but I'm having trouble trying to figure out what/where it is actually pulling at the other end to help it along. I see no Fluid Control Valve under the hood, just hoses going into the firewall. Drawing in the Manual is hard to distinguish what should be going on, just basic routing of the cables. Description of the system operation is v

G'day again all The underseat heater melted, and we cannot find a replacement, or anyone to fix it AT ALL. Can anyone recommend either where we can get a replacement, or who can fix it? We're in SA, Australia Cheers
