  1. I have a lot of parts I picked up and most are NOS, many are in the box or have part numbers attached. The problem is I don't have a way of looking up these parts. How can I find out what they fit? I didn't get them for a project, I was just helping a guy that was moving and needed them gone right away.
  2. I'm looking for a front left fender for a very close friend's immaculate 1992 Buick Century Custom Coupe. Unfortunately a deer did (thankfully) minor damage and I am having trouble locating a fender - NOS or aftermarket (not particular) that I can shoot for paint.   5. I am looking for a good condition Dodge Brothers touring car 1917-1919 fender for the drivers side rear.
  6. So my GS is a pretty low mile original, but it was not stored well for many years. It now runs like a top and my dad did a pretty darn good driveway paint job on it, but there is just light surface rust on many of the surfaces in the engine bay. I am in no position to handle a frame off restore on the car, besides, it runs and drives to well as it is.....most of what it needs is only cosmetic so I'm going to be handling all of this I can as a frame-on refreshing. I've removed the passenger front wheel and hub and am cleaning it and installing new inner and outer bearings. I pressure washed the inside of the wheel well to remove the old 50% gone, 100% cracked and peeling underlayment. I removed the Antenna access plate and replaced the original broken antenna with a spare I had. Removed all the passenger side engine bay accessories, pressure washed the sheet metal and low pressure washed around the motor along with a pick, screwdriver and toothbrush. Then a gentle degrease and rinse, prime and paint. I'll reassemble the wheel and well, then clean and replace the accessories. It came with an old set of aluminum AllState air horns that I may attempt to restore and replace although the original horns work fine. Here are some pictures: I'll post more pics as I progress. Trying to be done with the engine bay and both front wheels and wells by the end of the weekend. I know it's wishful thinking.
  7. Im looking for a front passenger fender for a 1927 Chevrolet truck in good shape.
  8. I picked these up for a project and have been given conflicting information on make/model/year. Anyone have any insight? Most late 20s fenders are more like a 'splash panel'. As fenders evolved the side skirting increased, hiding the frame rails and spare tire wells (32-33). The 'pocket' like coverage of the fender increased and amount of coverage in front of the tire increased (34-35) until the fender reached the bumper. These fenders are unique with dual spare tire wells and stamped raised reveals on the rounded pocketed front edge where pin stripes typically come to a point. In addition to these unique attributes, the fenders are somewhat of a conflict in history. When fenders have this much side skirting they typically do not have a spare tire well (let alone dual wells). And when you have rounded bulbed front edge the fender typically comes down farther toward the bumper. The mounting hole on top the fender is for a light. Inside the fender there is a hard conduit with a single electrical wire. Mounting holes on the inboard hump of the fender seem consistent with a headlight bar making the top light a marker light. I've studied thousands of pictures, the closest I have found is a 1931 Nash Ambassador.
  9. My 1964 project is getting started again. It was a pain to get but I wanted it. It wasn't in bad shape, complete and still ran, although it has an engine knock which is not a problem for me to fix. My problems are with some of the rust. The floors are not bad but I will replace at least 3 of the 4 major pitted areas. The trunk is good as is the gas tank. The windows all raise except for the rear driver side, it was held up with wood when I got the car. My major problems are with the leading edge of the front hood and the upper leading edge of the roof! and both of these are really just surface rust. I am hoping to just replace the hood and would like to cut out the roof portion instead of tedious sheet metal forming and welding. Not going to get rid of this one, it is my first Riviera but I have restored a few other types of cars. So any suggestions, hints, good griefs or leads to pieces. Thanks Russ

  18. got a pair of 1931 Cadillac front fenders they're both side mounts spares from a V8 short wheel base (134") both wells for the spare are rusted out, besides that they are in decent shape looking for $150 for the pair, plus shipping I'm located in zipcode 35476, may be able to help out with shipping, but local pick-up is obviously preferred.
