  3. One of my trucks was sold through the Salt Lake City Auburn, Cord, Duesenberg dealer. It happened to be the dealership that helped stage all the Aurbun, Cord, and Dusenberg-powered Mormon Meteor runs at Bonneville. Diamond Ts from that dealership were used on the salt as support vehicles. Selling at NO RESERVE: shaggy9822 | eBay Don 573-424-0089
  4. Hey folks, I may be a newbie here, but surely most, if not all Duesie fans, will be familiar with the vehicle of which I speak. I work at Canepa Design in Scotts Valley, CA, where the 1919 or 1921 (depending on who you speak to), Duesenberg Straight 8 or Model A (depending on who you speak to), chassis #601 and engine #1001 or chassis #602 and engine #1000 (depending on who you speak to), is painstakingly and lovingly being returned to its original configuration after the circa 1927 conversion/upgrade to many model J parts. While some information regarding this vehicle may still be in question

  6. I'm looking for any info I can find regarding Wilkinson Motors in Salt Lake City. O.J. Wilkinson owned the Auburn Cord Duesenberg dealership and also the Diamond T truck dealership. I have a couple photos of the ACD dealership with Wilkinson and race driver Ab Jenkins. I can't find anything regarding the Diamond T dealership other than a few photos of Wilkinson Diamond Ts with the Mormon Meteor at Bonneville. I'd like to uncover more details, becuase I just found a model 201 pickup that came from Wilkinson motors that had been hiding out in the Utah desert since 1965. Some of the photos and
  7. Hey guys, Check out this neat video on a cool old Duesenberg! I am working for the Historic Vehicle Association as an intern this summer and thought you all might find this interesting! They filmed it down at Amelia last spring. Thanks, Casey
  8. Today I was walking through the neighborhood, a historic area with lots of side streets and unique homes to happen across, and there is one specific home with a '72 Mercedes sedan that I always walked past and admired. Today the owners were out doing yard work so I chatted them up, we shared stories and I got a lead on some interior work should I ever choose to go that route, but fascinatingly the gentleman told me that he once owned a Duesenberg and sold it in the 1960's for $1,200. I enjoyed the half hour spent chatting on the sidewalk, and even got invited back soon for more conversation a
  9. I don't recall seeing this website referenced on the forum before. It has several nice photos of movie stars and their cars. Hollywood Golden Days...Glamorous Stars, Amazing Cars Don

  13. The following photographs were sent to me several years ago by the late Lou Brehmer of Phoenix, Arizona. Lou had lived in Chicago in his earlier years. I don't know if he had ever been an AACA or ACD club member or not but he was a long time member of the Classic Car Club Of America. Lou took these photographs in 1948. Whether they were all on the same used car lot or not, I'm not sure but on the back of one of the pictures of the Blue Cord with the '40 Ford Headlights (a not uncommon CORD modification for the times) was written the following; Neidlingers Brothers Garage, 71st and Stoney Isl
