  1. My grandfather just bought a 1946 Ford Deluxe Tudor sedan and we went to move it after it was delivered and the brake pedal would not come back off. The previous owner installed a dual reservoir master cylinder. Are these known to stick in cold weather? It was 16 - 19 degrees today. I've been around old cars since I was young and I have never seen this before. Thanks in advance.
  2. I just bought a 1941 Chevrolet Business Coupe. It is all stock and has been sitting for several months. I got it running okay, but when I try to put it in gear, it seems that the clutch is not working right. When I push in on the clutch and try to shift in a gear, it acts as though the clutch had not been depressed. I checked the inspection hole to see the pressure plate and thrust bearing and they seem to be operating as normal. Any ideas what to do next? Many thanks to those who answer. The site has been very helpful. Thanks to all.

  11. 1948 Packard Super 8 deluxe, model 2262, serial # 226229972, lovingly cared for and remarkably well preserved luxury motor car! It has lovely beige/tan exterior, 288 cubic inch inline 8 cylinder engine, manual transmission, 120 inch wheelbase, and remarkably low mileage, 17890 miles since new. It drives and rides and handles as new. This exceptionally low mileage car is nicely equipped with options: front and rear handsome bumper guards, fender skirts, radio, clock, and backup light. The original jack is in its unopened box in the trunk, original spare tire, owners manual, other papers, and a thick service manual. This handsome car is equipped with wide whitewall 760 X 15 bias ply tires. Paint, upholstery, headliner, and instrument panel are in excellent condition. Very minor blemishes: narrow two inch long chip in paint on edge of hood drivers side, at bottom of passenger side door the stainless molding has been scraped, pictures of these 2 included; also a hairline scrape 6 inches long at bottom of rear door on passenger side; and a couple minor scratches on front of hood below the hood ornament, no pictures included because I doubt it they would show up in a picture. These are not obvious to the average admirer of the car, only to someone inspecting, looking for any flaws. Asking $27,500 or best offer (U.S. dollars). 336-765-8312, Winston Salem, North Carolina, USA. Email for more pictures: wwhitfield@triad.rr.com delivery available world wide.
  12. Hello, I am trying to sell a 1949 Plymouth Special Deluxe. It has 77k. It is green with a white interior and was in pristine condition needing only a starter until about 3 1/2 years ago when it was left in the grass to rot away. The moister and mice have caused a lot of damage to the interior upholstery and the exterior is rusting. It has all original parts and the glass is in good shape. Here is the link to the website where I am trying to sell it for $1500: Classic Cars For Sale - Plymouth : 1949 Plymouth Special DeLuxe I don't know anything about these old cars (I'm selling this for a friend who just wants it out of her yard) and am clueless as to what I should expect to sell it for. Any suggestions? Thanks, Eric
