  7. Hi all, This is my first post, so I'll introduce myself. My name is Joe and I work for PaulFraserCollectibles.com, which provides a news service on collectibles of all sorts. One of the elements we right about most is classic cars, so I would like to share a few of my articles on here in order to build our profile and also to receive feedback from the classic car collecting community: http://www.paulfrasercollectibles.com/News/Gus-Grissom%27s-Corvette-Roadster-rockets-to-$86,000-at-Scottsdale/12947.page Here is a good one from today, with the results of a 1967 Corvette Roadster formerly owned by astronaut Gus Grissom. I always wonder whether I am including the kind of technical detail that you might expect to find in a general article, or whether I should include more? Thanks for any readers/responses

  11. My son, an AACA member, who is 17 years old, would like to start restoring his own car (not just help dad with his old Dodge Brothers and Hudson). He would like a 63 Split Window Corvette (wouldn't we all), but I convinced him to consider any 63-67 year Vette. Would like a "driver" but one that needs to be restored or worked on. I don't know if we will ever find one he (meaning him and I) can afford, but we are looking. The prices are all over the place, mostly too high or the car's frame is so rusted the car isn't even held together. Frankly, we are looking for a reasonably priced car. One he can enjoy for a "lifetime." We are not looking to "flip" a car or hotrod. We will restore it to original. I know my son's tastes are a little expensive, but I'm willing to help him with purchase and restoration. (Don't laugh out loud, but when I asked him what his second choice was, he said Pierce Arrow. We will save that for another day or lifetime. I better stop taking him to AACA meets.) Any ideas or help would be appreciated.
  12. My 66 Corvette won it's First Junior in Greensburg in 2005, and I am hoping that the improvements I have made since then will make it competitive for its Senior Award next week at Hershey. At Greensburg, I showed the car with its soft top, however the car was delivered with the optional auxiliary hard top as well. (Believe it or not this Pennsylvania car was used year round!) I'd like to show it this time with the soft top stored in its well, with the hard top installed. Is this OK by the rules? I seem to recall that the top must be "up" but don't remember if it specified which one.
