With its current owner of 42 years, GEN70 underwent a cosmetic restoration: paint, upholstery and a new top approximately 10 years ago. Driven very little since, GEN70 has been recently re-commissioned and serviced, never having been shown, or seen by the public. Originally sold April 23rd, 1929 to Col. John Kennedy of 5 Radnor Place through The Car Market Limited, GEN70 was delivered as a Sedanca De Ville with coachwork by Thrupp and Maberly Limited. In 1937 GEN70 was purchased by The Southern Motor Company and re-bodied with their attractive 3-position drop-head coupe. GEN70 was then purchased by Mr. Noel Rylands Mellor Esq. on September 27th, 1937, and remained in his ownership until 1948. Full history to present day is fully recored through it’s Registration book, as well as various documentation from the previous owner including: British Military Registration and title as well as it’s Louisiana title and registration when it was exported to the U.S. in 1970. Included in the sale, are the original build sheets from Rolls-Royce and documentation from The Southern Motor Company noting the body swap. We also have a photograph of GEN 70 with its original Thrupp and Maberly coachwork and two photographs of GEN 70 with its Southern Motor Co. coachwork (exact date unknown). All documentation can be emailed if it is of interest, please contact me directly for the files to simplify the process. Asking $125,000.00 USD or near offer. 4. 1953 Allard K3 Roadster - One of 62 Produced -I found this on The Burt Collection's website. This is Allard K3 Chassis number 6017 up for sale. This Allard is in great shape. The paint and interior do need some work, but the body is very solid and has no rust whatsoever. The car lived in California for much of its life and was well taken care of there. It sports a Caddy 331 V8, which is in good running condition, bar a recent issue with the timing chain. The rest of the mechanicals are in good working condition. The fuel tanks and hoses were dipped and replaced last year, so the fuel in them is good and clean. It was driven periodically last summer. This car features two 4-barrel holly carbs, a De-Dion rear end, and a 4-speed manual gearbox. The drum brakes have recently been serviced and function properly. There is no top, or top frame included with this car. The only thing included is a replacement engine turned dash board. Allard enthuistes would know that this is just one of 62 cars produced, and of that only a handful remain. It will be a great project for someone who wants to restore an Allard, or just modify one for vintage racing or driving. PLEASE - feel free to ask any questions you might have before bidding. We welcome and encourage pre-purchase inspections. The exterior is green and the interior is black leather. It has been listed on Ebay for the price of $60,000.
