  1. This car hasn't seen sunshine in decades, I first saw it in the early 1980's, That is what I know, not much more. 1. It may have been repainted, different color, in the 60's or early 70's. How do I find color code? 2. It is a supercharger car, I know where engine number is the the codes, R, R2,R3, what else can I look for? 3. Any really bad things to look for? Frame rust, something else terminal? 4 Runs, and drives, presentable older repaint, color change, very presentable interior, new brakes and exhaust very recently. 5. Biggest worry! What am I getting into????? If you can or want to venture a cost/money value, pm me rather than put it on the forum. I think that would be a better way for that. I am curious as to the value, knowing the condition as I described; but would just like it in a pm. Oh by the way this is not my first Studebaker, But I don't have any now. I am retired and don't really have a lifetime to restore a car now; just want to enjoy one.
  2. I had started a thread earlier; before I got a closer look at this car. I had seen this car in the 1980's; but had very little info. I did have a thread in General Discussion, but was advised this may be a better place. Thses numbers are correct I have pics of most of them. Here we go, Maybe you can tell me what it is. 1. Body number, Tag on right fender. RQ 3361 2. Engine P55692 3. Frame tag, lower right side. R-4294 4. Exhaust manifold left side. 537555
  3. For those of you who may actually drive your Avanti II and are less concerned with keeping it original, I found the new-style frameless replacement windshield wiper blades that will fit. 'Trico NeoForm Beam Blades' come in the extremely rare 14" size. They look really unique, work great and are quiet (although I try to avoid rain)!! Just thought I'd share...
