Please, confirm... 2 problem is pictures: 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4 - what are these 2 outlets for ? what do we have to montage there? 3 problem is pictures: 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 - the same problem - something is missing. 6. Hello, i am attempting to replace the front wheel bearings on my 1930 Franklin and have run into a small problem. I have pull off the outer bearing assembly (cone & cup) and pull off the brake drum. The inner cup is attached to the inner part of the brake drum. That just leaves the inner cone bearings which I cannot pull off. What is holding this in place that prevents me from pulling it off? Thank you in advance for any help you can offer. Bill

  12. Hello, I recently acquired a 1930 Franklin 145. I am attempting to get one of the rear brake drums off to work on the brakes and cannot get the drum to budge. The brake pads do not appear to be holding it. I went to the auto supply store to rent a hub puller and it is much too small for the lug bolt pattern. Can anyone assist me with this? Thanks! Bill Jewell
  13. Hello, How can I find out how many 1930 Franklin 145 Club Sedans were originally produced? Also, how can I find out how many are still in existence? Thank you for your help! Bill
  14. I have a 1930 Franklin model 145 that has a Carter BB-1 carburetor on it. I have a couple of questions about the carb: How do I adjust it (which screws)? It has an opening on the underside of the carb that I am not sure should actually open. It will sometimes leak gas from this opening. I have posted a few photos of it. Should something actually be in this opening? Thanks! Bill Jewell
  15. I am in the process of installing new wheel brake cylinders on the rear wheels of my 1930 Franklin. I have the new cylinder installed, but what is the trick to getting the brake shoe spring reattached? Is there some special tool used for this? If so, can someone please send me a photo of it? Thanks! Bill
  16. First, I want to thank everyone for the continued help! I am working on a 1930 Franklin which has a leaking rear brake cylinder. The car was completely restored about 12 years ago. I have obtained a hub puller that is wide enough to fit the wheel lug pattern. I have it on the car and have cranked it down very hard but the hub just is not budging. I have tried hitting the brake drum with a hard rubber mallet but that has no affect. Any thoughts on how I can get this brake drum off? Thanks! Bill
  17. Hello I have a 1930 Franklin 145 that has a leaky wheel brake cylinder. How can I get a repair kit for this vehicle or purchase a replacement cylinder? I would appreciate any help provided! Thanks, Bill

  19. I have a Studebaker Model (Carb)-Stromberg Motor Device, updraft Carb that was found (being used) on a Model A ford intake manifold I purchased. After an on-line search, I believe this carb is used on 1923 Franklin Cars...but not sure. It is patented in 1916, 1918. Label states 'Also Models 0 & lS -Oct 25-21, Models O-OC-OF-OS and LS July 12-21, Models L-LB-M-MB-O-OC-OS & LS Jan 31-22. What is it...anyone know? What cars was it used on? What is its value? I will likely post in on Ebay. It is froze-up but looks rebuildable and complete. The main casting is bronze and has OE-1 2486665 on the bronze casting. Contact me on email marinecorpspitbull@yahoo.com if you have any info on what this carb is or need one. Thanks<!-- google_ad_section_end -->
  20. My father-in-law's Franklin oil pressure gauge is leaking oil. I removed the gauge from the dash to inspect. It is a Hancock ON/OFF gauge that is soldered together. Does anyone have a thought on repair procedure or are there any replacements out there? The brass case was painted black. Thanks, Chris
