  1. Hi, my name is Dylan and that car listed in the title and pictured in my profile pic has been my dream resto car for quite some time...and searching for them is really tough because there are not that many around from what I have seen (and not that many were made to begin with). I have done much extensive research on the 1967 Mercury Cyclone GT, enough to know that the GT came standard with a 390 and had the option to be built with a factory installed R-code 427 (however only 19 R-code 427's were installed in the Cyclone in 1967...and much more that I could talk your ear off about. I am looking for a running, hard-top, at least mostly original, preferrably 4-speed Cyclone GT that doesn't need much work to be put back to its shine again. Please let me know if you or someone you know has one for sale in or in any of the surrounding states of California (because thats where I currently live). If you do respond, please try to include some attached pics and details about the car. Thanks!

  3. Hi I'm fixing up a 67 Rivieria that has been sitting for the past 5-6 years and I'm some electrical problems with the instrument panels, courtesy light switch and the climate lights. I took the dash and instrument cluster off, replaced the headlamp switch and I'm able to see dim lights behind the speedometer. I also replaced the lamps, helped a little but far from decent lighting. There are no bulbs behind the the oil pressure, coolant temp etc, but a small rectangular board wrapped in wire...is this suppose to light up? The lights behind the heater control won't illuminate, and the courtesy lights work when the door is open but when using the switch near the clock the lights won't turn on If I remove the wire behind the switch and ground it out the light works...where is the ground suppose to come from, because there is only one terminal behind the switch... Any help is appreciated! Thanks, Brandon

  12. 1967 Buick Skylark 4 door, light blue with white top, light blue interior, 340-2, 2-speed trans, 75xxx miles, runs and drives. Clear title. It does have the usually rust for how old it is, has rust in rocker panels, quarter panels, roof, etc. The drivers side quarter is bad/lower part rusted off and thus there is a hole in the trunk also. There are also some holes in the floor. It has its share of dents…in the quarter panel, bumpers, and hood. Please see the pictures. It had 2 new tires put on last year. Before I bought it, it got new dual exhaust put on with cut-outs. (you are able to remove a plate covering part of the exhaust and that will allow exhaust to exit before the muffler making it loud or you can keep them on and car is quieter). I have owned the car for about 4 years. I replaced the timing chain and all associated gaskets. It also has a brand new 4 core radiator in it. I just rebuilt the front drivers brake wheel cylinder and replaced the brake line that goes to it, I believe the owner before me had replaced the two rear brake lines (they look newer). It does have a small leak of transmission fluid I believe. The interior is in decent shape for the year. It has 3 or so smaller rips in the front seat and 2 or so in the back, also it is black and dry rotted (?) on the top of the rear seats. The carpet is in decent shape also. There is a quarter sized hole and water stains in the rear deck area. I installed an aftermarket radio (head unit) that plays CD’s, radio, and has a AUX input and I installed one speaker in the front and that is all it is hooked up to but it works good. I left the original radio in it. The car still has a left front brake problem. I do not know the cause. After driving 5 miles or so the brake will start to heat up and smoke. This is only happening to the front left one. The car drives fine otherwise. I would not recommend driving it more than 5 miles. Look over the pictures and please ask any questions or ask if u need any more pics. Thanks. $1100 OBO Car is located in Batavia IL.

  15. My son, an AACA member, who is 17 years old, would like to start restoring his own car (not just help dad with his old Dodge Brothers and Hudson). He would like a 63 Split Window Corvette (wouldn't we all), but I convinced him to consider any 63-67 year Vette. Would like a "driver" but one that needs to be restored or worked on. I don't know if we will ever find one he (meaning him and I) can afford, but we are looking. The prices are all over the place, mostly too high or the car's frame is so rusted the car isn't even held together. Frankly, we are looking for a reasonably priced car. One he can enjoy for a "lifetime." We are not looking to "flip" a car or hotrod. We will restore it to original. I know my son's tastes are a little expensive, but I'm willing to help him with purchase and restoration. (Don't laugh out loud, but when I asked him what his second choice was, he said Pierce Arrow. We will save that for another day or lifetime. I better stop taking him to AACA meets.) Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

  19. Hi there, After months of restauration and trouble my little black beauty is finally ready to be one of only a handful of '67 Rivs driving around in Europe... ...up to this morning when I saw this: Some a****** hit a gully cover onto my windshield, moulding and wiper arm (with one hit-quite impressive...) and hit my sunroof after that (you know how many Rivs with the sunroof option are out there...:-() He even put a flyer under the arm so that the hit would not be heard and put the gully cover beside my tire. As I said before-I am one of only a few Riviera drivers in complete Europe so there is no chance for me to get spare parts here. Can anyone pleeeeease help me find a replacement windshied-best would be a tinted one as I had before. ('66 ones should also work-right?) I am thankful for every help you can give
