  1. Original 6 way power seat removed from a 1957 Pontiac Starchief. Seat is fully functional, has all the shells, switch, and harness, it is very solid, some surface rust only, all springs ok, mounting tracks included. Original Upholstry was removed, seat is ready to be covered and installed in a car. May also fit Trifive Chevys. $1500 Contact bdeane5527@windstream.net
  2. I had heard rumors about the existence of these "Kiddie Corvettes" but had never seen one until now. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330437893026 My friend lived next-door to a retired Chevy dealer in Kansas who told him about '56 Vette pedal car giveaway that sold more full-size Chevy's than any other promotion at the time. Kids would drag their parent into the showrooms and the salesmen would take over. Not all dealers could get the junior Vette's and the ones outside the big cities had to pull strings with the corporate boys. A fascinating piece of GM history.
  3. Hello! I am needing a good quality right side gravel guard for a 1957 Buick Special. Im pretty sure it's called the gravel guard, but just incase im wrong, it's the chrome piece that goes directly in front of the rear bumper end. I mainly need the passanger side, but if you have both, please do not hesitate to let me know! thank you, Brandon.
  4. In the course of my business, I found someone who has 4 1957 Lincoln Premieres. They are all hardtops, appear to have been abandoned & would need restoration. They look OK for restoration to me, but I am no authority. Owners daughter suggeted that they could be taken for free. No idea on license status. They belonged to her late father. All are on the same lot, near San Jose, CA. markagoodman@sbcglobal.net
  5. Hello, I am needing a new Vacuum advance for a 1957 Special. I have found several NOS ones of ebay for pretty cheap, but i am worried the inside rubber is no better than mine. I was wondering if anyone knew of a place to find a newly made one that is fairly cheap. I've looked but haven't had much luck. Thank you so much, I appreciate it. Brandon.
  6. Hello, I am installing my freshly rebuilt Dynaflow on a 57 4dr HT. I already have the transmission in the car and hooked up to the motor, I am needing some advice on hooking the rear end back up into the transmission. I know how it goes together, it just seems like a difficult task to "push" the rear end back into the transmission. I wanted to ask someone who has done this before on how they managed to get this done, and if they could give me some pointers. Thank you so much, I appreciate it! Brandon T.
  7. Hello, I am in the process of rebuilding my Dynaflow transmission off my 1957 Buick Special. I have bought a complete rebuild kit, (with all clutches and plates, etc), but I have run into some other complications and am in need of some other parts that a rebuild kit does not come with. I know that a lot, (if not all), of these parts can be found on various websites, but I wanted to post an ad here just in case anybody has any spare parts laying around. Here is my list of needed parts: 1. Hi-low Brake Drum (part # 1388730) 2. Reverse Drum and Ring Gear (Part # 1354974 ???) 3. Front Band 4. Reverse Band 5. Parking Pawl (JUST the pawl if possible) (the actual piece the gear sits into) The bands I have are worn, so is my Hi-Low Brake Drum, and the reverse ring gear is worn with the teeth all messed up. The Parking Pawl must have been out of adjustment for so long, because the slot where the gear sits into is all rounded off. I may be able to fix it, but I thought I should ask anyway. Even if you have just one of these parts, please do not hesitate to let me know. I appreciate your time and I'm hoping someone has these parts! They do not necessarily need to be brand-new... but in good, working shape. Thank you, Brandon T. Missouri.
  8. Hi! There is a blue 1957 Chevy for sale near me, and I am looking at buying to for my first vehicle! So, what I would like to know is if it would be right for me. •I live in Canada, so we can get quite a bit of snow. How would it handle in the winter? With winter tires of course. •How would it be on gas? •It has 100 thousand kilometres on it, is that ok for an old car? •Would the radio still work? •how different is driving an older car compared to a new one? •Random question, what's your favourite color for a 57 Chevy? The car it's self is $5800 OBO, it runs and stops. Has new tires, brakes, a battery, carb and ignition. I am 16 if that matters here is a picture of it.
  9. Hello, Im not in a huge hurry for these parts, but I wanted to put an ad out anyway. I am needing the wiper button and lever that goes into the wiper bezel for a 1957 Buick. Thank you for your time! -Brandon.
  10. Hello! Ive been posting a couple pages already for things im looking for on my Buick. Sorry if it seems like Im spamming! However, im looking for a few parts, id greatly appreciate it if anyone has them. 1. Wiper Bezel and switch 2. Outside door handles (its a 4 door HT) 3. Front passanger window glass/ frame 4. Inner taillight bezels 5. Rear bumper (ends or center) I am also looking for a parts manual Thank you again! Brandon
  11. Hello. I know this is a common issue for these era of Buicks. I've haven't had the car very long, but since I've had it the speedometer hasn't worked right. When I first picked it up, it was all the way up (100+ mph). However, when I first got to test drive the car a couple weeks ago, the speedometer went all the way down, and as soon as I started driving forward it would shoot up to about 35mph, and then to 100+, than back down to 35. The other day, the car was out of transmission fluid (another project I got going on), but with the car set in "drive" if you would give it gas, even though the car did not move, the speedometer would jump up and down like crazy. back and forth from 0 to 100+. instantly. the whole time it would also kind of make like a "slurp" kind of sound. Not really sure how to explain it. I was wanting to ask if anyone here has had a similar problem: where the speedometer was broke but did move on its own at random times. I wanted to get a possible fix before I have to send it in somewhere. I'd like to try and figure these kind of things out and fix them myself besides just "send it in!" But am more than willing to if I have to. Thank you for your time! I appreciate it. I will include a picture of my speedometer and at what mph it is stuck at as of now. -Brandon T.

  13. Hello, i was wanting to get peoples input on where to buy the best/cheapest rebuild kit for a dynaflow on a 57 special. Ive looked online an found some for about $200, but i didnt know if anyone here has bought a rebuilt kit and can testify as to which is the best. thanks for you help. P.s. I am so looking for a dynaflow dipstick for a 57. Ive found a 56, but i do not believe they are the same??? thank you. Brandon
  14. I am needing a transmission dipstick. The person I bought the car from mustve took/lost it because all thats there is a mtn dew can in its place. Im not sure if all are universal for a 57, but mine is a Special 4dr HT with the dynaflow. Thank you Brandon.
  15. I know it's a long-shot, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to put a request up for it. I am looking for a pair of rear bumper ends for a 57. They do not have to be perfect, but able to be rechromed. Even if you have just one, it still wouldnt hurt. The ones i have now are not in too good of shape. Also a whole bumper assembly would be nice. thank you, i really appreciate it. Brandon T. Hannibal MO 63401
  16. Hello, I am needing a set of rear bumper ends for a 57 Buick (model does not matter), but mine is a 4 Dr HT. They do not have to be perfect, but able to be rechromed. If you only have 1, that will help also. Thank you for your time, and please let me know if anyone has any! -Brandon T.
  17. Im looking for a new "points arm" for a 57 clock. Mine has been broke off by a previous owner. So it does not have to have work. Thank you!
  18. Hello, Does anyone know how to remove the time-setting knob on a 57 Special Clock? I have the clock out of the car and trying to get it apart, (clock isn't ticking). I've heard people say you pull the stem out, hold it with pliers, and then twist the knob counter-clockwise fast. Whenever I do that though the clock hands just move. I've also heard that you just pry the knob off, it's not screwed on. But I am not having much luck with that either. Thank you for your help!

  20. I am restoring a 57 premiere coupe. If you have a 56 or 57 Lincoln that you are parting or could part, please let me know. Some of the parts I need: All headliner chrome trim, above doors, courtesy lights, rear sail panel and above rear window. Visor latches rear view mirror in good shape, mine is okay, but the glass is separated. Drivers door Remote Driver's side mirror Antenna base front windshield lower chrome trim pieces by wipers, the pieces with two screws in them. Inside door handle retaining spring and chrome ring that goes between handle and spring. Also clip to hold handle. That's what's missing, things I might replace instead of fix: Front bumper if okay driver condition. Mine probably wouldn't need replating, but has pulls and is really bent drivers side. Front parking light surround drivers side. Rear bumper, if okay driver condition. The floors and rockers are really rusty, not sure yet path to take, there are some replacement panels available from a company called classic2current, but the floor under the bench seat and under the rear seat is rusted too and they don't make panels for that area. Thanks.
