  1. There she goes. Being towed off to the shop for the major phases of the restoration that will take until February or March next year to complete. I've been working on this project since October 2006. My plan has always been to do as much of the disassembly as I could with my limited facilities at home while pressing forward with restoration of component parts. Much is finished but much is left to go and most of that is now in much more capable hands than mine. What I thought I would do here is share some of my photos from the work of the past six years while at the same time, posting updat
  2. Hello all.. quick question. My '49 Roadmaster only seems to show a (SLIGHT SLIGHT) charge while in "Park". While driving tonight, it seemed to do fine for about 40 minutes (It pretty much stayed in the 0 or neutral position). After that, it went completely to the "discharge" position and wouldn't "pop" back up until I brought it home and Parked it in the garage... then, while in "Park", I had to rev it up and bingo! Ammeter went from "discharge" to "neutral". I know about polarizing the voltage regulator. I just completely cleaned up ALL of my wire connections- they look new now. Generator wa
  3. Need the cable assemblies for 49 Buick Super heater/defroster dash pull handles. I have the chrome handles but need the assembly that attatches to it with cable/sheath going to vents under hood. Thanks !!
  4. 1949 Buick Roadmaster 4-door John, meza123@gmail.com, 860-978-8843 Best offer Connecticut I have a complete '49 Roadmaster I had running a couple of years back. It has 60,000 original miles. Bought from a guy who had garaged it for many years and I also have had it garaged. It has all its parts including chrome. The gas tank has been redone and I had the transmission rebuilt. There's a couple of pinholes in the exhaust manifold and removed it but that seems to be all the engine needs. The body is straight and there's only one small dent near a wheel. It also has white walls. It needs the co
  5. It's a long shot, but I thought I would give it a shot.. I am looking to make contact with the prior owner or original owner (original owner contact would be great!), of my newly acquired 1949 Buick Roadmaster 4 Door. On the vehicle title, the prior owner's name is Richard Nelson. Supposedly, the prior owner had purchased the Buick from the Original owner around 2010 in the midwest.. Through my investigations on the web, I had come across a website that had a prior bid of vehicle transportation for my 1949 Roadmaster. I am pretty sure that it is my car since I purchased it in San Juan Capistr
  6. Hey hey.. here is a short video I took of my 1949 Buick Roadmaster 4door that I have recently purchased about a month ago. I am currently trying to bring her up back to par engine/electrical-wise.. I am planning on keeping this vehicle stock, and true to form (no modern "updates.")... I'm sure some of you have been following my madness through my posts. This video was shot right after I had cleaned all my ground connections within the engine area, and recharged my battery. Just a little something fun to watch! Here is the link to YouTube.. 1949 Buick Roadmaster - YouTube Jerry 1949 Buick Ro
